Biography
Eddie is Chairperson and Representative Director of JTB Corp., a globally leading travel and tourism company with more than a century of heritage. As President and CEO until June 2026, he led JTB’s transformation into a tourism solutions company dedicated to creating value for destinations, local communities, businesses, and travelers.
With more than 30 years of international leadership experience, he has held senior executive positions across Japan, Europe, and Asia, including serving as CEO and Chairman of Kuoni Tumlare. An active contributor to the global tourism community, he serves on the Board of the UN Tourism Affiliate Members for Asia and the Pacific. He is also Vice Chairperson of the Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA) and the Japan Travel and Tourism Association, and a Committee Member of the Japan Productivity Center.
A graduate of Waseda University, he is dedicated to advancing sustainable tourism, strengthening international collaboration, and nurturing the next generation of tourism leaders through engagement with leading universities in Japan.
